Frequently asked questions
How do I install a texture pack?
Put the .zip file in .minecraft/resourcepacks (do not unzip it), then turn it on in Options > Resource Packs.
Can a server send a texture pack to players?
Yes. Upload the pack somewhere public and set resource-pack and resource-pack-sha1 in server.properties so players are offered it when they join.
