CREATOR TERMS
AssetMC Creator Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
These Creator Terms apply when you submit, publish, sell, support, or manage a resource or store through AssetMC. They supplement the Terms of Use.
1. Creator eligibility and authority
You must satisfy the age and legal-capacity rules in the Terms of Use and have authority to act for the store. If you publish for a company or team, you confirm that you can bind it to these Creator Terms. Keep ownership, support, payout, and tax information accurate.
2. Rights you must have
You must own or have documented permission to distribute every part of a resource and its listing, including source code, builds, models, textures, music, sound effects, fonts, names, logos, screenshots, video, promotional media, and dependencies. Do not submit leaked, stolen, copied, or unauthorized material.
3. Content and security standards
- Do not include malware, viruses, backdoors, credential theft, destructive behavior, unauthorized telemetry, cryptomining, or code intended to harm users or systems.
- Do not conceal material functionality or include undisclosed network calls, data collection, advertising, license controls, dependencies, or remote shutdown behavior.
- Do not publish illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually exploitative, deceptive, or dangerous content.
- Follow applicable law and the current Minecraft Usage Guidelines, Microsoft and Mojang rules, and relevant third-party licenses and platform policies.
- Do not falsely claim affiliation, certification, sponsorship, or endorsement by AssetMC, Minecraft, Mojang, Microsoft, Discord, or another party.
4. Accurate listings
Describe features, file type, supported versions, dependencies, installation steps, license or activation limits, support scope, update expectations, and known material limitations accurately. Images and claims must represent the delivered resource. Do not manipulate categories, tags, prices, reviews, sales, or download counts.
5. License to AssetMC
You retain ownership of your resource. You grant AssetMC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, scan, test, reproduce, format, display, distribute, back up, and promote the submitted content only as needed to operate, secure, review, market, and deliver the marketplace. This license continues for existing customer delivery and necessary records after removal, subject to law and security restrictions.
6. Review and file handling
AssetMC may inspect listings and files before or after publication, request a separate review build, run security or compatibility checks, and reject or remove content. Review does not transfer responsibility to AssetMC or guarantee that a resource is safe, lawful, defect-free, or compatible. You must not provide reviewers a materially different product from the customer release except for disclosed protection or obfuscation differences.
7. Pricing, fees, and taxes
You control permitted listing prices. AssetMC deducts the marketplace service fee disclosed in the seller interface or applicable written schedule; the standard rate is 5% of each completed sale unless a different rate is clearly disclosed and accepted. Payment-provider fees, refunds, chargebacks, currency conversion, withholding, and taxes may be separate. You are responsible for your own income, sales, transfer, and other tax obligations unless law requires AssetMC or a provider to collect or remit them.
8. Payouts and reserves
Connect and maintain an eligible payout account in your own name or under your authorized business. Payout timing, methods, identity checks, countries, and minimums depend on the payment provider. AssetMC or the provider may withhold, delay, offset, or reverse amounts reasonably connected to refunds, chargebacks, suspected fraud, legal claims, sanctions, negative balances, or required verification.
9. Refunds and disputes
The AssetMC Refund Policy applies to customer purchases. For licensed resources, customers may submit a request within 24 hours. Resources without licensing do not receive that discretionary refund window, but mandatory consumer and payment-provider rights still apply. Approved refunds, chargebacks, and related costs may be deducted from your balance or future payouts where permitted.
10. Maintenance and support
Provide the support promised in the listing and respond within a reasonable time. Address serious defects, security issues, broken downloads, and compatibility changes you claim to support. Products that become unsafe, materially broken, misleading, or abandoned may be restricted or removed. Updates are not automatically required forever unless you promised them, but existing customer rights must be respected.
11. Product removal
You may request that a product stop accepting new customers. Existing customers should normally retain access to purchased versions. AssetMC may preserve files and listing records for that purpose. Access may be removed where required by law, a valid rights complaint, malware or security risk, or another serious policy issue.
12. Copyright complaints and strikes
AssetMC may remove content following a credible infringement report and allow a response where appropriate. Ordinarily, a first valid strike results in a warning and removal; a second results in a two-week publishing suspension; and a third results in permanent creator termination. AssetMC may skip or adjust this sequence for severe, repeated, knowing, fraudulent, legally required, or clearly mistaken cases.
13. Enforcement
- Fraud, malicious code, deliberate credential theft, or knowing distribution of stolen content may result in immediate permanent removal.
- Artificial ratings, sales, downloads, or review manipulation may result in content removal, withheld funds, or suspension.
- Policy violations, refusal to resolve serious customer harm, or attempts to evade enforcement may result in restrictions or termination.
- Where practical and safe, creators may appeal through Support with relevant evidence.
14. Customer and personal information
Use customer information only to fulfill purchases, provide requested support, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Keep it secure, limit access, do not sell it, do not add customers to unrelated marketing, and delete it when no longer needed. If you independently determine how to use customer information, you may have separate privacy-law obligations as a controller or business.
15. Creator responsibility
You are responsible for your resources, statements, support, rights, taxes, team members, and legal compliance. Where permitted by law, you agree to defend and reimburse AssetMC for reasonable losses and costs caused by your infringement, unlawful content, fraud, malware, tax breach, or material violation of these Creator Terms, except to the extent AssetMC caused the loss.
16. Changes and contact
AssetMC may update these Creator Terms for legal, security, provider, or marketplace changes. Material fee or payout changes will be communicated before they apply where reasonably possible. Continued publishing after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law. Questions and appeals may be submitted through assetmc.org/support.
